Clean air
I like to settle round a bonfire, feed the foxes and rats and birds and such and enjoy the fact that I can't do anything until spring.
But these days there is always some coffin dodger moaning about the smoke or some such

I like winter (or at least first snow and snow on Christmas), but this thread requires Ezra Pound’s famous riposte:

What do you get? Loads of foxes when I lived in Islington. I have tons of birds. I started feeding them this week and I already have my Cardinals, Jays and the hordes of chickadees.
I fed the deer up until last year. Three which fed in my yard got splattered on the road. The food lures them down and then they go after the salt on the side of the road. A friend had a feeding station and a salt lick about a mile from me, so I gave him my deer feed. It's sad not seeing them in the backyard but it's sadder seeing them on the road

No Daylight Saving Time (until March).
That's probably the worst of winter down here in Southern California. 😊
