Nor my local, but one of my favourite London pubs to visit. Everyone drank there. Dickens, the decadents of the 1890's inc, Wilde, Dowson, and Beardsley, Crowley, a who's who of history which you can almost feel in there.

Hotel Sweeney's in the city. Didnt really have a regular watering hole but I grew fond of this one. Was several floors

Yeah, far end just past St. Clement Dane's on the river side. You been? The crypt bit isn't always open but if you ask they will show you them. Really is what London is all about and a wonderful remedy for all the yuppie wine bar monstrosities that have taken over.

This used to be the sign for a huge pub in Manor Park. A few years ago it was in the news for being a shoddy โhotelโ used for housing homeless families.
