The one time FIFA made the right decision, the EU has to meddle and screw it up.

Businessmen should be free to do what they want in order to make more money. Football fans need to understand football is a global money making enterprise not a charity to entertain the plebs.

I STRONGLY object to that perspective but I don't feel like debating it right now. Instead, I will just say this: I am OK with telling FIFA and UEFA that they can't stop clubs from forming an independent league, but I REALLY don't see why FIFA can't say to Real Madrid and Barcelona and Juventus and Manchester United "if you want to form your own league go right ahead, but if you do so be forewarned that your clubs and your players will no longer be allowed to take part in any of OUR competitions".

Just not a big deal. Businessmen in football have a right to want to explore money making options as they've put billions into their teams. Football isn't a religion it's a business. Kicking a toy around for two hours kills braincells no one is buying into it out of a genuine interest for it unless there's a financial benefit to it.
