A recent news story stated that police are hesitant to air police activity over their scanners because "bad actors" may be listening in and tracking their movements.
Another story warned the public of "actors" stealing their Amazon deliveries off their front porches.
It took me a beat or two to realize these stories were talking about thieves and criminals. When did it become a thing to label such people as actors?

I suppose there are people who can't make it in showbiz so turn to crime.

Working on that principle, are they going to start labelling actual bad actors as "criminals"? If so, Jaden Smith and Megan Fox better watch out... ;)

Why not just call them evil doers? Because that might sound too biased or something. The presumption that they are innocent until proven guilty.
Calling them "bad actors" is the verbal equivalent of calling them "evil doers" because they apparently aren't allowed to call them criminals anymore.

Speaking of Hollywood type criminal acts, if they are going to remake a movie why don't they remake "Goonies" so that they can make a sequel to it without all those problems. collider.com/the-goonies-sequel-failed/

I also think I'd probably skip any re-boots, re-makes, sequels and so forth.

Give liberals time. They love criminals. Soon they'll change it to 'right-challenged actors'.

"Another story warned the public of "actors" stealing their Amazon deliveries off their front porches."
Saw a report this criminal activity picks way up around Christmas time.
