You'll never get it so I'll tell you.
Ryvita with Brie and Camembert.
Now be honest - would you have got that?

Can you get a baguette? Any real bread. It's such good cheese, yummm. Green apple wedges on the side. What about goose liver pâté? If I recall, you're a fan. And I didn't call it foie gras! Whoops. That with brie, heaven. Edit: I've just now learned what "gavage" means. Call it off. Cancel the foie gras, I take it back. I'm so sorry, geese! Yeesh, killing them for food is one thing but that is straight torture. 😬 I'm so naïve.

I won't eat at restaurants that serve it. Baguette is good. Might do that next time, esp if warmed in the oven!

Backspaced it, should've said. How was it? I never ate that crispbread, only fear anything rye for sourness potential. Good for you, not going to restaurants that serve it. I don't think that comes up in my dining out options 😅 although a nice burrata is a popular option at reasonable enough nice-ish places.

I had a thought it might be onion on toast. Rather disappointed.

Ryvita is fine, doesn't really taste of much - it's just something to add a bit of bulk to the cheese. And fibre is always good for the inner workings so it works well. I thought you were going to say Ritz crackers. Cheese on cheese.

Well I'd have done a terrible job turning up my nose at crispbread for Ritz. You know? Carr's water crackers in the black box w/photos of the crackers are what my mom used to buy at the cheese shop to eat with brie (and Godiva gold ballotin chocolates box for a special dessert treat from the same shop). Carr's are a good neutral thing under brie or camembert. Grapes on the side!

That's a good one, and good for your guts with all its stinky fermentedness and live culture whatnot.
