I've had three tortoiseshell kitties in recent years: Princess, who really was a princess, Reese's Pieces, who was a sweetie pie, and now, Molly Dolly, actually Mustard Muckled Molly, who is a real character! She was one of my bottle babies that I couldn't give up, we had bonded, and now she is a great big kitty with VERY distinct needs and wants, and has no problem letting me know! Right now, she is sitting on the shelf by the window, chattering at birds outside! |

She is so cute!
Our last cat lived to be 20. In his prime, he used to be an adventurer and a hunter. Later on, he preferred living only in the house, mainly because he felt that he couldn't win out over the younger and much stronger cats outside anymore. When he got severe kidney problems, we had to put him down.

Not everywhere keeps records on cat ages.
37 is the world record, so there’s no way 27 is the oldest alive today.

Our last Tortie, Loquacious Lucy, lived six months past her 20th birthday. Never had a sick day in all those years. Just curled up for a nap one morning and passed peacefully in her sleep. You know what proves the Earth isn't flat? {Spoiler}If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now. |
