Why?
Surely the only thing you need to stop a bad guy with a knife is a good guy with a knife?
Besides, what do you then do about the inevitable escalation in gun crime?

It requires a great deal more training and skill.
Well, in my experience....... they usually just add more and more gun control laws. :P I was just getting ahead of Idris here and his request for more and more knife control laws.

IIRC, a lot of the action takes place in Mexico........where there are very, very strict laws on guns. I don't recognize the film... But it wouldn't be the first time gun-totting Yanks tried to export their gun violence. >:( |

We export the guns while allowing in the sex trafficked and the drugs. Gotta keep the coloseum crowd entertained
