Someone just rang my doorbell at 1:30 in the morning.
I went to the door, without opening it I yelled "Yeah, what do you want?!?" The person said "It's Dottie". I said "What do you want?" She said "To use the phone", I said "We ain't got a phone".

Every adult and most children carry phones in their pockets all the time.

I had a couple cops show up at my place of work a couple weeks ago. Said they got a call from our alarm company. But we don't have an alarm company.
I asked them the street address they were called to and they got it wrong.
I'm usually the only one there at night. I gave them a card with the proper address and phone number. Confirmed with their dispatcher that they were legit.

Far as I know they were able to update their contacts if anything happens there. And we have had some incidents.

No reason to believe otherwise. Independently verified it with their dispatchers....While they were standing right there. I'm paranoid like that.

I'm paranoid like that. Me too. Certainly you can understand my train of thought. Ayatollah started out by informing us of an apparent imposter trying to gain access to his home by pretending to be some "Dottie". (Clearly another example of criminals not being too bright.) So, consistent with that theme, I was wary of the "police" you reported presented you with a bogus security breach.

Their claim of an alarm and then having the wrong address certainly raised flags in my pickled mind.

Once inside all she wants is sex. WKBN showed her picture and she is a knockout.

Anyhow I found out who it was, the older woman who lives down the street has a teenage granddaughter who has come to live her. The family is trying to keep her away from a boyfriend who is juvenile delinquent and druggie. Grandma has no internet, so she cant keep in touch with her BF via social media, so she has been asking neighbors to use their phones. The guy across the street let her use his phone today and she sat in his living room for over an hour facebooking.

I know if someone knocked at my door at that hour I might let them use the phone but my revolver would be right next to me.
