This narrative follows the account in Acts and gives a good summary of the book. Nevertheless, I have to refer readers to the thread on this board about the historical (or lack of such) record in Acts. In addition to the spiritual but historically unreliable Acts, the video takes the "Pastoral" letters (I Timothy, II Timothy, Titus) to be by Paul in his later years, a conclusion disputed by most Biblical scholars. Most call them anonymous, written in the spirit of Paul, but a few like Bart Ehrman will say outright, "They are forgeries."
And what kind of accent does the narrator have, anyway? He pronounces "insightful" as "in-seat-ful." He pronounces Saul two different ways: the way most people say it but also pronouncing the two middle vowels separately, sah-ul. Other than that, it just sounds like pompous posh upper-crust English from England.

Paul himself contradicts a lot in Acts. I’ve heard it described as “fan-fiction” modeled somewhat on Homer’s the Odyssey.
