I read Peter Falk’s autobiography some years ago. He was a character.

They are superb. Sadly, I've seen every episode so many times I can only watch Columbo every few years or so. I'm happy that I discovered some other older shows (Cannon/ Barnaby Jones) that might not be as great as Columbo all the time, but they're shorter (45 minutes) and they have lots of the actors in them that were in Columbo. Difficult to find those shows on basic cable though which is a problem. Used to binge Rockford Files and McCloud, but they've disappeared. Love to find Police Woman.❤️

There's a complaint I have......... you used to be able to find people who could provide you with 'grey market' Dvds of just about anything.
But the Feds got involved and shut it all down. Didn't matter that those people were simply providing something the people with the copyrights weren't willing to even bother producing.

The grey market kept Doctor Who alive in the VHS days with teams of fans doing their best to reconstruct missing episodes using audio recordings and still footage. Some of these are still the only way one can experience some of the early stories. Some of those grey market folks are working on the current Doctor Who even now legitimately as actors, writers, or production. "Pirates" can sometimes do good, no matter what Metallica thinks.

All those dedicated people who used Cable or Satellite programming to record things to VHS or digital format and then reproduce it for a waiting audience........while the studios sat on their hands releasing nothing.
Or worse, too slowly releasing things, while their audience died off waiting
