If she’s going to start her shows that late she should offer everyone a free ride home or let them crash on her bedroom floor for the night.

While I find it hard to feel sorry for anyone who actually pays money to see the skank of the century, I hope they win something.

When a ticket says the show starts at 8:30, that means the warm-up acts. You know fine well the headline won't be on till at least 2 hours later. Those people are idiots and deserve a slap around the head for not knowing how shows like that work.

The Madonna concert at Barclay started at 8:30pm and it’s 2 hours later with no opening act. This is ridiculous. Kunal C. ARORA (@alldaykca) December 14, 2023

Your concerts are different to ours, then. What time did the info say Madonna would appear?

I find that very difficult to believe. But then the article I got that from says she had a DJ and was introduced by a drag queen. Perhaps DJs and drag queens don’t quite cut the mustard. The seven-time Grammy winner had been dealing with sound issues ahead of the performance and was doing sound checks until doors opened at 7:30 p.m., a person close to her who was not authorized to comment told The Times. Madonna usually takes the stage around 9:30 or 10 p.m. most nights after a DJ warms up the crowd.
New York City DJ Honey Dijon, who served as Wednesday’s opener, went on about an hour after doors opened, taking the stage around 8:40 p.m. due to similar tech issues and played a 30- to 45-minute set, the person said. Then Bob the Drag Queen came on to introduce Madonna at about 10:45 p.m.www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-12-14/madonna-starts-barclays-brooklyn-late-us-celebration-tour
