I tend to agree. Far more "legitimacy" in writing ones own material than outsourcing. Which is why the days of the "Brill Building" were finished off by Dylan et al. Difference between a performer and an artiste IMHO. |

Difference between a performer and an artiste IMHO. In which case, why is she not saying "I don't want anyone telling me how to write my feelings"? Why is she singling out a demographic based on age, gender and race? You don't think it could be because she's one of those idiots lefties who think it's 'fashionable', not racist, to be racist against white people, 'fashionable', not ageist, to be ageist against middle-aged people, and 'fashionable', not sexist, to be sexist against men? She couldn't possibly be one of those racist, ageist, sexist, sorry 'fashionable', idiots that the Guardian gives so much air to, could she? |

There are no Carole King types doing well over here, I think the old bassist from Mud is one of the top used writers. |
