This isn't going to be popular with a certain segment.
Back in the early 80's, in my 11th grade history class, my textbook said that two advanced cities of peaceful dark-skinned people, Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro, had been attacked and destroyed by a warlike, white-skinned people from the North called the Aryans. Lies. Did not happen. The Aryans were and are a real people, but they didn't wipe out these ancient cities.
So, if the people of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro weren't attacked, why did they leave? Looks like Climate Change. Can you beat that? Climate Change, in a pre-industrial world. I told you it wouldn't be popular.
