Her mom is for it and I am against it. I don't think she should be having sex at all. Granted her mom and I were 14 and 15 when we had her, so we're not the best examples in that regard, however we both are exceptions in that we managed to earn graduate degrees and have successful careers. My daughter is a prominent Youtube "celebrity" who travels around the country for dance competitions and is always in party buses and hotels (with her dance group and producers) and I constantly worry about what offers she's getting as she can't be supervised at all times.
What do /b/

What do /b/ Wow You are stupid enough to have knocked someone up at 14 and 15? and your daughter wants to risk doing the SAME? Ya think she would learn from your mistake? Wow shes a real dumbass. If i were her I would go out of my way to wait until having sex when i am older I love the part where you were 15 years old( both of you having a 3 year old by the time you made it to college and somehow both managed to get your bachelors and graduate degrees? if thats the case then neither of you would have had any time to raise that kid and have a career and both colleges at the same time. Its impossible So if its true, then your parents raised your kids, so she really isnt your kid. Thats the biggest load of BS I nave ever heard . Nice try but it defies logic there Oh and my 48 year old brother just knocked up some 38 year old woman after using 3 forms of protection. Nothing is foolproof.

You seem to have some sort of agenda here. I detect you may be a conservative. Just a hunch. "You are stupid enough to have knocked someone up at 14 and 15?" Shit happens. "and your daughter wants to risk doing the SAME?" Well from her (and her mother's) perspective, she wants birth control so she DOESN'T want risk doing the same. Not necessarily to be promiscuous, but just for the back-up insurance incase it does happen. "then your grandparents raised your kids" I think you mean my parents, *her* grandparents. Well, yes. Obviously since we were both minors when we had them they lived with my and her parents at the time. My ex still lived at home while attending college, while I moved away, so our daughter lived with her during that time where I visited every other weekend or so. During graduate school we both had our own place and she lived with us every other week. We both are fortunate to have great parents who love(d) spending time with their grandchild and willing to help out with watching her when we needed it. And if my ex and I had eachother too. Like I said, in our situation it happened to not hold us back from what we wanted to do, but that's not the case in most teen pregnancies. I don't support teen pregnancies, we were just fortunate and beat the odds. If it happened to my daughter (and it won't) she does have the financial security, so while it may be inconvenient to her lifestyle, it wouldn't put the same burden on her as it would to most.

I doubt you and your baby mama were both watching the kid while you were both studying for your finals all night while on speed. I hope she gets knocked up by some jobless thug from the hood. it will serve you all right . Enjoy your retirement, grandpa.

What do /b/ I think you should allow her to have birth control. And you should advise her not to have sex. And you both should talk with her intelligently and honestly about sex. You don't want her getting pregnant. If she going to have sex, you want her to be smart, informed and secure about it. And you want her protected against pregnancy. If she decides not to have sex, it will be because she decided she didn't want to, and she didn't have to. Not because her parents told her not to.

Sex can be a spur of the moment thing. A woman has to be on birth control a certain amount of time before she can count on the hormones working.

That is why I said also the parents should talk intelligently with their daughter. That is one of the things they should explain to her. So that she can make an intelligent, informed decision.

So he doesn't end up making an unwanted, unplanned for baby.
