There is a reason they call that town "Lost Wages" !! I don't get why people call it Los Vegas when it's Las Vegas. It's like they can't read.

Locals can get quite picky about the pronunciation of NEVADA but I cannot recall what the "correct" one is .... I remember that I was saying it wrong somehow and was corrected.

And then there's the whole thing about how to pronounce Sigourney.

I think visitors say ne-var-duh and locals say ne-vah-duh. Long versus short middle syllable. I think.

Flying Monkeys, Found it .... "How to Pronounce Nevada: Pronounce it so that the middle part rhymes with the “ad” sound in the words "sad" or "mad." Don't say “Ne-VAW-duh.” Some people pronounce the second syllable with an "AW" sound as in "paw." "
You staying at a nice hotel ?

You staying at a nice hotel ? Hey I got it right! Thanks for finding that. Mirage. The room is nice but the common areas are worn out.

Mirage. The room is nice but the common areas are worn out. Do they still do the volcano ? Even with common areas "worn out", the Mirage beats the Motel 6. Lots to see in the countryside just outside the city ...if you rent a car and have the time to explore.

Two of us have a 3 day trip after the corporate stuff to canyons and parks. Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope park, Sedona, Bruce Canyon, Zion Park, Monument Valley.

I liked the music and water show at the Bellagio (?). Envy you that trip to the parks .... LOTS to fit into 3 days tho. I've "only" been to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Bryce and Zion.

Geographically, Las Vegas (per consensus and establishment).
Existentially, inside yourself.

Right at the same time that Yggdrasil isn’t posting LOL. Who do you think you’re fooling? You are holidaying together because he is your lover.
