I’m seriously considering doing this. Streaming keeps going up and they are adding ads now. You can download new content and burn DVDs. Plus buy old DVDs. I might keep just Netflix. its just getting to be too much.

Depends how well you manage them. Streaming services come up with new content and stuff you don't own, so there's that, but as for stuff you do own that's also on streaming, you can watch them there to extent the shelf-life of the DVDs (or the player).
It also depends on the service. I don't like any of them that much. We have Netflix and Disney +. I wouldn't have either if it were my choice, but I'm not as opposed to them as I am Amazon Prime or Apple, neither of which I want to have a cent of my money. Our streaming services aren't my choice, so if Amazon or Apple TV became fixtures in my house I would not watch them. As it is, I check Disney + once a week or so. Don't even remember when last I watched Netflix.
I never left DVDs. I borrow them from the library all the time. I just watched Mirai (2018) a few weeks ago and that was a library DVD.

I find DVDs to be bad in quality these days. Maybe I watched some bad ones.

I never left. I still have a ton of DVDs I haven't gotten around to watching, and the local library has a vast collection. I just don't have the time to be streaming, too.

There are still two Redbox kiosks near me. Three were taken away.

I'm definetly not going back to porno on DVD, having to skip through all that useless dialogue and plot is a pain in the ass

What time is needed for streaming? You can buy or watch any movie at the press of a button instead of having to find time to go down to the local library to get a film. You've got it the wrong way round.

Ordering off a screen isn't so much fun.

I still use dvds--in fact--I noticed that I still have a vcr connected too. Even though I haven't used it in 15 years or more.

I prefer Blu-Rays. I don't have streaming services; but I only buy DVDs if the movie I want to watch at home is not available on Blu-Ray.

Not renting, but maybe just one streaming where all they do is rent movies and TV shows at a lower price, like at 2 bucks. They don’t anything fancy.
