Wow. Just... I can't. How do you even... Woof. Georgia is a much better team than Texas, but my theory is when you have National Championship expectations and end up in the Car Quest Bowl or the Office Depot Bowl you're heart isn't in it and you lose. Everyone just wants to go home. If I recall correctly this happened to mighty Alabama a few years back.

I agree with your theory, I just don't think that attitude does you any favors when your team ends up losing to a lower ranked team as a result of not wanting to be there. The Georgia coach tried to fight it, wanting to 'show the world how good we are' or some respectable such pre-game outlook, but to no avail. Texas wanted to be there, and wanted to win and they did. Non-departing Georgia players should take note. This one was the Allstate Sugar Bowl. When an older lady, introduced as the Head of Marketing for Allstate, presented the trophy to Texas, she opened with "Congratulations, University..... [long pause]... champions!" She definitely did not know who won. Whadda corporate shit show. Who you got, Bama or Clemson?

I tried to watch Alabama-Oklahoma and damn that was boring. I think Trevor Lawrence can score on the Bama defense. Bama 31 Clemson 28.
