When you submit your tax return, you get a page that asks you to say what % of your taxes you want to go to each category of government expense. It couldn't be followed exactly but it would give government a democratic view of what people see as priorities. I'd guess that the majority of your taxes would go on the machinery of setting up a way and administering where your taxes went.

On the other board (and on this one) it’s the liberals who are against this idea. Liberals are against free speech for the same reason. It’s an admission of criminality. Or maybe some of us studied history and saw how this went in the French revolution and want to avoid some dipshit Robespierre wannabe declaring themselves a supreme being. But please feel free to outline this 'new world order' government idea so I can systematically shoot holes in it. I can think of an actual good argument against letting people choose where their taxes go, and that’s not it. It goes like this: If everyone thought welfare was corrupt and so decided to put all their money into roads instead, roads would just become the bloated new honeypot. There. Was that so hard? But that’s not what would occur to any liberal. Liberals are corporatist. They want more honeypots. So they can’t make that argument. They just go into moral panic at the thought that they would be exposed as enemies of the people when we choose not to fund lucrative refugee resettlements and transgender psychoanalysis and CIA regime changes. You experts can turn into nihilistic wrecks wondering why people don’t trust you. “That’s just proof of how superior we are”.

That is what charitable donations are for. You can donate via charity to armed forces, welfare, healthcare, infrastructure? How stupid can you get? You act like you have no idea how society works, like you don't know whether to scratch your watch or wind your ass. You think charity covers all of the things government pays for and you're asking if I'm stupid? And, any particular reason you are being so rude?

I'd guess that the majority of your taxes would go on the machinery of setting up a way and administering where your taxes went. How so? The Chancellor gets a chart showing the votes and uses it to guide his/her decisions. Very simple to implement.

We kinda do indirectly. When people (in America) vote Republican they know their tax dollars will be going to a stronger military, a stronger economy and less social programs. When people (in America) vote Democrat they know that their tax dollars will be going to more social programs, bigger government, income distribution and foreign aid. The specifics are left up to the politicians and government administrators. Medicare Part D under Bush was bigger than A B and C. Obama invaded more countries than Bush. All our major wars were started by liberal progressives. Dumb housewives want infinite money for schools, police, and multinational pharmaceutical corporations. What are you afraid won’t get funded? I am not afraid of anything. I don't always vote Democrat. But other people have different interests than you do. Their vote is just as important as yours, as conservatives and as Republicans. (Quite frankly, now that I think about it, I benefited a lot from ObamaCare. So I am afraid of things going back to the way they were before ObamaCare. When I was paying $1,000 a month for health care.)
