Clapham chemical attack suspect Abdul Shokoor Ezedi may be dead after going into the River Thames, police say. The 35-year-old has not been seen since the night of the attack on 31 January, when an alkali substance was thrown over a mother and her two children. At a press conference on Friday police said their working hypothesis was that he had gone into the water after last being seen at Chelsea Bridge. No body has been found and officers said one may never be recovered. At the briefing Metropolitan Police officers said Ezedi could be seen on CCTV "walking with purpose" for four miles to the Thames and said his behaviour changed at Chelsea Bridge. They said he could be seen to "lean over the railings" of the bridge before CCTV sightings ceased. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68249835

He's not dead until they've found the body.

Maybe trying to soothe the pain of his burnt coupon?
Anyway, BiH.

The Thames is racist.
And here I thought it was such a jolly place after all those appearances on Benny Hill credits.

Didn't he get an acid burn too? Maybe he jumped in the water in the hope to treat it.
Or maybe like Hammer's Phantom of the Opera he is now living underground with a hunchback assistant and playing an organ as he plans to haunt the local opera house.

There are also some nice houseboats alongside the Chelsea embankment.

If that's true, it's the best place for him, if you ask me. It's only a pity that he didn't decide to throw himself into the Thames before he decided to disfigure the mother and two children.

There are also some nice houseboats alongside the Chelsea embankment. Those are nice? Don't knock it.
Time was when Battersea, which is on the other side of the river, was horrible and cheap, while Chelsea was cheerfully raffish, but pricey.
So enterprising boat owners would take their tacky vessels to the north side of the Thames, rented them out and made telephone numbers
