The very top Hamas leader sent his granddaughter into Israel for life-saving heart surgery as an infant.

this is so terrible! it just makes me with Hamas hadn't crossed the border, raped, tortured, and murdered, over 1200 innocent, non-combatant Israeli civilians ! It makes me wish Israel hadn't imprisonned 2 million people for 17 years with occasional incursions by the guards to murder Gazans by the thousand. While not an excuse one could imagine people growing up in that environment having no hope and seeing no other option than to escape and create mayhem. It is all on Israel. Palestinian population in 1948 1.37 million. Palestinian population in 2023 5,400,000. Worst genocide ever. I mean it's like the Jews ain't even trying! |

They wouldn't have done that if Israel hadn't spent decades stealing their land and murdering them. The least the US can do is stay out of it, stop sending either side money and military support.
The problem with that theory is that the Arabs (before they started calling themselves Palestinians) engaged in murderous attacks against Jews in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, before Israel captured any land, and in fact before Israel even declared independence. The least the US can do is stay out of it, stop sending either side money and military support.
That will only make world villains (Iran, Russia, China, North Korea, etc.) even more aggressive, just as our humiliating retreat from Afghanistan did. We should continue to support both Israel and Ukraine. |

Israel left completely in 2005.
The people were imprisoned by Hamas.
The only thing Hamas couldn't get was weapons from Iran to shoot at Israeli civilians.
The civilians never had access to such weapons so they didn't miss a thing.

Question: who guarded the border crossings into Israel and the West Bank, stopping exports, stopping imports regularly, eventually ensuring nothing but a bard amount of food to stop starvation while preventing agriculture. Imagine if police told a bank robber that they would kill all of his hostages unless he surrenders. That's basically Israel's strategy in Gaza. Both sides see the human lives in Gaza as worthless and expendable. They only care about themselves.
