I'd like to see it. It's produced by Peter Lawford and directed by William Asher.
Henry Silva & Elizabeth Montgomery
Looks all kindsa awesome.

No but director Asher ended up marrying star Montgomery and went on to direct most of the episodes of her TV show, “Bewitched”.

Seen it! It has a one of hell of an interesting cast. Henry Silva in a great role. Another familiar noir face part of the plot. It's better that it sounds!

Fun Fact (actually not fun at all): co-stars Elizabeth Montgomery and Elisha Cook, Jr. both died on May 18, 1995.

Lawford used his Ocean's 11 buddies Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop and Henry Silva. It has a great soundtrack.

I remember being very impressed with this movie when it came out during my college years, especially the leading performance by Henry Silva. There are plenty of low-budget guilty pleasures to be taken from this gritty and violent (very violent for its time) gangster flick. Elizabeth Montgomery is very sexy in this movie but as a dramatic actress, she was a perfect fit for a TV sitcom. The first episode of “Bewitched” was only four months away when “Johnny Cool” was released. The best thesping and movie stealing is done by Telly Savalas as the head of the mob in NYC. Some of the gangsters on Johnny’s hit list are played by the likes of Jim Backus, John McGiver, and early stand-up comedian Mort Sahl.
This film has Rat Pack fingerprints all over it. Silva was a minor part-time member who was in the cast of “Ocean’s 11”, Sammy Davis, Jr. has a key scene and sings the title song, Peter Lawford was a co-producer (and his name is prominently displayed on a Las Vegas marquee), and Joey Bishop has a cameo as a used car salesman.

Yes, I have seen it. It's quite fun, often inadvertently amusing, and watching an intense Henry Silva ham it up is a hoot. It's not a particularly good film, but it moves at a clip and is an entertaining one. Elizabeth Montgomery is, interesting casting. Terrific supporting cast.
