There's no word on whether these are just one-off gigs for the group or a full-on reunion. If it were a full-on reunion, then Kerry King's recent solo band would just be more like a side project than a full-time thing.
I am surprised in particular at Tom Araya performing again. In the last few years of Slayer, he had a strong desire to retire, stop touring, spend more time with his family, etc. I wonder what made him change his mind (besides money).
