What’s up with this? I can be starting a thread, usually a lengthy one requiring adding screen shots, bolding, and adding italics. Halfway through or further, a click to bold or add image will take me to a gray screen with the words “Drop files here to upload.” When I go back, all my work is gone. I must start all over.
I have been meaning to write about this for a long time. I finally am because that has happened twice to me trying to complete one thread. I don’t think it has ever happened in a reply, only a new thread.
Is this something that needs fixing? Is anyone aware of this happening? Or is there someway I can avoid this interruption? Thanks for your attention.

Thanks for your attention. That happens to me all the time because I’m a quick n sloppy typist! It means you accidentally hit a wrong button or combo of buttons, I’m not sure which, but Add Attachment is my best guess although it also seems a combo of button pushes gets you there as well. The important thing to know is that when this happens YOU ARE NOT ON A NEW PAGE SO DO NOT HIT THE BACK BROWSER BUTTON. Stop and find the top right corner of the gray field that says “Drop files here to upload”. There is an X. Click that and it will go away. Again, you are not on a different screen so all your work is safe and sound behind this Drop files field, you just need to slow down and X it out without going near the X that closes out your browser window. Also, go into Edit Profile at some point and change your settings to Save Drafts or however it’s phrased; that way even if you do hit back browser, you can next click Create Thread again, and your work will be there in a window asking if you want to use it.

Thanks so much for the tip on how to keep from losing any work. I'll watch myself but it seems that clicking the BBCode button causes that screen but maybe I'm doing something without noticing. At least I now know that someone's not out to get me. Thanks ever so.
