It's simple but tasty stuff. Indeed. She makes twice as much and with what’s left over makes a cottage pie and adds grated cheese to the top. Sticks it in the freezer for later. I actually prefer the cottage pie to the mince and tatties. It would be my last meal if I was on death row. Cottage pie is excellent! (Power Ranger probably thinks 'cottage pie' is some kind of porn thing....)

I've got pork chops and new potatoes for dinner this evening. Simple but tasty! Pork is haram. Not to me it isn't!

I imagine it is a bit like Lent No, nothing like Lent. During Ramadan adult Muslims are supposed to refrain from eating and drinking (even water) completely during daytime. If the month of Ramadan falls in the summer when the days are long (the Islamic calendar doesn't have a provision to adjust the months to the seasons), you may have to spend 14+ hours without drinking a drop of water, depending on how far from the Equator you live.
Fasting that was once punishable via damnation for centuries and not just Lent and Fridays, but on Embers Days and other Catholic dietary law holidays. VatII reduced it to a venal violation with a stint in Purgatory. Though I think it’s optional now. I’m not sure how they handle the St Paddy’s Day hat trick.

Most of Muslims who fast wake up before sunrise and eat the kind of food that gives them energy for most of the day. Pretty much everyone has a mother or a gran who has some special recipe. A girl I work with (who looks like she can be blown away by a random gust of wind as it is) gets really unhealthy thin each year because, as she says: If she wakes up too early she's gonna be too tired all day.

He didn't say he's American. [img alt=" " src="http://storage.proboards.com/6870873/images/GNdzQKpfkkHBBwUPdCiE.gif" class="smile"] Tommcclarey has been around for years and likes to stalk. Tommcclarey was on the old board too familiar username but he has never stalked anyone. And the OP likes to be thought of as an American instead of the Australian that he is which is obvious to anyone born on Mars so maybe Tom was roleplaying.
