Mavs PJ Washington makes a 3-point jump shot from 23 feet out. Kyrie Irving with the assist.

Nope, this would be the first. Last year both had 3-0 leads, but the Heat had to go to Game 7. I'm hoping Boston loses at least one more game than the Mavs, so Dallas gets some rest.

Do you see either the Pacers or the Timberwolves notching more than one win? Maybe the T-Wolves given Game 5 would be home. Ideally I would like a Dallas sweep, but I also want to have more games to watch.

That White tipped in in game 6 was a classic. I was hoping for Celtics making history.
On my count, there were 4 years in which one side was a sweep and the other was 4-1

Assuming Celtics and Mavs move on, I would say the x-factor would be Kyrie. I did not expect he has anything left and just being a poison anywhere he goes. If he continues to play well to give Luka some breather, for sure it will be Mavs.

oh, fuck. Bill Walton dead at 71. I'm betting ToyCannon is working up his obit now.
Some say he was the best big man of UCLA's dynasty and up with Chamberlain and Russell as the greatest centers ever. He would have pushed around Lew Alcindor like a cheap dustmop.

oh, fuck. Bill Walton dead at 71. I never watched him played. I know he was huge in both NCAA and professional. I remember him as the color guy in the NBC broadcast playoff during that great run of Ewing era. He wound up televised many of the Knicks game. Despite he was biased against the Knicks often, he was very entertaining and enjoyed listening to his commentary.
He won championships with the Trailblazers and the Celtics. His son Luke won it with Lakers. Are there other father/son both won championship as player? Luke also won as assistant coach with the Warriors.

Matt Sr. and Matt Jr. Guokas: The first father-son duo to win a championship were Matt Sr. and Matt Jr. Guokas. Matt Sr. played one season for the Philadelphia Warriors and was part of the Warriors’ 1946-47 BAA champion team. Meanwhile, Matt Jr. was a member of the Wilt Chamberlain-led 1967 Sixers team. Rick and Brent Barry: Rick Barry was a member of the 1975 Golden State Warriors championship team. His son, Brent Barry, helped him complete the feat in 2005 when he won with the Spurs. Brent added one more ring in '07 to give the Barrys three total championships. Bill and Luke Walton: Bill Walton won championships with the Blazers in 1977 and Celtics in 1986. Meanwhile, Luke was a member of the Lakers’ back-to-back championship teams in 2009 and 2010. The Walton duo is the first to win multiple championships each. Mychal and Klay Thompson: Mychal Thompson was part of the Showtime Lakers team that won two in a row from 1987 to 1988. His son Klay is a member of the Golden State Warriors’ current dynasty team, which has won four championships since the 2015 season . Gary Payton and Gary Payton II: Gary Payton won the championship with the Miami Heat in 2006, and his son became the 2022 NBA Champion with the Golden State Warriors.
