Mavs up 29 at halftime. Fans booed a 24 second violation just before the break.

Dallas leads Minnesota 69-40 at the half in spite of Timberwolves going full goon and appearing to try to kill Mavs rookie center Dereck Lively II.

I may miss the entire Finals. Internet/TV banned at the retirement home lol? Looks like I'll need a VPN and then have to sign up for a trial of YouTube France. Games are on at 2 am, though.

Porziņģis is making a big difference. I can see why the Celtics got the best record in the league. This could be a short series if he plays like game 1. Also, Luka looked hurt.

So where are all the NBA teams who can play, aside from the Celtics? What is going on? Do we blame the virus? The vaccine? Why does everybody, 25 year-old Luka included, play a good streak and then like a half-dead dog? I know injuries happen, but I’ve never seen a postseason where every single team but one was beat up and gassed out before the finals even started. Have you? Am I forgetting? 🤔 🤷♀️ **full disclosure: I basically copy pasted this from where I just now posted it to tommyrockarolla whom I’m now tagging in hopes we can consolidate the convo here since the other place was on Politics where I went off topic to mention 🏀 yesterday

Add to this the size of 'player contracts', and? You have teams who don't want to blow up the career of say, a Joelle Embiid, and be on the hook for a 150 million investment to a player who can't walk anymore. I would say the top teams in the East seem to have been very injury prone this year.
