Well there you are.
It looks ok to me, but then my ideal is La Deliverance (commonly known as the Naked Lady to generations of London cabbies) at Henley Corner.
I like something that I can understand. La Deliverance is straightforward; we won, you lost, up yours kraut.
Not too sure about Lady in Blue other than it is a black lady with a big bum
I like the look of the Blue Lady without having to bother with what it actually means. If it helps people can think of it as the woman who appears in the Tom and Jerry cartoons and thus bypass any harmful wokeness contained within the sculpture. It has to be said that she looks a lot like the lady of the house in the cartoons

I've been to Trafalgar Square. I wish the UK wouldn't have this stupid shit in such an impressive place.

Like, remember when we made things of beauty and skill? When artists had actual talent. When we took pride in our nations and cities and made things that compliment them? Instead of talentless fart huffers knocking out shite that a child could do at break time and everyone pretending its good?

That's to be displayed in Trafalgar Square?😂 Seems like something drawn up by cartoonists for an episode of Family Guy.

I don’t mind it but then again I draw cartoons so am not upset by cartoonish figures. It’s cool pop art and I agree with what you’ve posted about it as such, but Trafalgar Square? And isn’t it a bit obnoxious to install a NY artist’s work there over that of a British artist?

Looking at Self's paintings... She is not without talent and some of her less erm... Chaotic pieces are kinda good. Not sure she rates Trafalgar Square.

It’s not a NdSP sculpture. Not sure why nobbi mentioned her. Does look a bit like her work admittedly. I don't really care who created the sculpture; my point stands regardless. If this sculpture had been put up in any other major square in any other capital city in the whole of continental Europe, do you believe that nobody would have criticised the decision to put it up? Or that anybody who did criticise it was trying to start up a culture war, or was some kind of closet Nazi? Since you seem to be answering nobbi's questions on his behalf, perhaps you could answer this one as well.

I'm reminded of the time Princess Michael of Kent went to some royal engagement wearing a brooch that was considered to be, ummm, a bit tasteless: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42462724I wonder whether the reaction would have been any different if her brooch had been based on a figure of a black woman with a massive fat arse instead!

And isn’t it a bit obnoxious to install a NY artist’s work there over that of a British artist? I didn’t realise she was an American. BURN IT! The fourth plinth is used for temporary art which is usually of a quirky or pretentious nature and she’s not the first non-Brit to be featured on it. Here’s a nice little video about it…

Only stupid Nazis think that any and every depiction of any non-white person in any form of art is "woke". I therefore conclude that the converse is also true. I think it's shite myself, but not woke shite, and entirely in keeping with the generally hit or miss nature of fourth plinth exhibits over the years.
