However, Gypsies have caused a lot of troubles here therefore many people are sick of them and it has contributed a lot to this increase as well.
And of course, corrupt politicians , corruption in general, etc.

It recently made the news in Sweden that Finnish Gypsies are returning to Finland because they are afraid of gang crime in Sweden. |

It recently made the news in Sweden that Finnish Gypsies are returning to Finland because they are afraid of gang crime in Sweden. Really? Because generally they do belong to big gangs themselves. |

So it seems it has been a common problem in most European countries. Gypsies have that reputation everywhere, I'm sure. But people are more fed up supposedly with the Romanian ones who have arrived more recently because they beg on the streets (although begging seems to have been on the demise lately). Finnish Gypsies don't do that. |

Swedish racism? Who knew? Swedes can be racist, no denying that, but I think the view of Gypsies or Finnish Gypsies far transcends that. I have never experienced a group so dehumanized as them. It's not exclusive to Swedes but many Finns feel the same. Well, it seems to be a finished chapter in history for the Swedes anyway as they're now returning to Finland. |
