Back in 2016 I had a boss that was all in on Bernie Sanders. When Clinton got the nomination suddenly he was undecided and leaning towards Trump, even though Hillary would have been about 80% the same as Bernie. It's a total mystery to me. |

It doesn't need to. A lot of states have already joined a group to commit their electoral votes to the popular vote winner. Once 270 EVs worth of states join in it'll go into effect. Right now they're at 205 with another 101 pending.
