They were fighting long before either set of tribes had a Koran or a Torah.

I just read about the Roman-Judean War, about how Titus burned the Second Temple and the gold treasures melted and ran into the cracks in the masonry and when the fires cooled the legionaries picked it out. That was centuries before Islam.
