According to this video, the MCU was consistent. And the DCEU was not.
Consistently the MCU often (not always) had the same style. Whereas the DCEU kept changing styles and directions. Making it hard for fans to stick with it.
What do you think?

The problem is that the DCEU was playing catch-up. It had no real plan of action and seemed to just be winging it.
It isn't so much the stye between movies that was the problem, it is that the writing just wasn't very good.
Sort of how the MCU has been since Avengers: Endgame.

Wouldn’t piss on either if they were on fire.
A plague on both their houses.

Although I think for better or worse, Zack Snyder did have some kind of an endgame (hehe) in mind before he left the 2017 Justice League movie. It didn’t help that the leadership at Warner Bros kept changing throughout its existence. So things appeared even more aimless.

Marvel Studios had at least a roadmap; first they were building the Avengers lineup, and by 2014, it was known they were leading into Thanos. Not every installment in Marvel's first three phases was a home run but it did its purpose establishing the characters for the greater whole. In other words, they were more consistent than DC was.
DC was forced to play catch-up when The Avengers was a huge success. Although Zack Snyder had a vision leading the Justice League to battle Darkseid and his forces, he left before Justice League was completed. The new management at DC Films didn't pick up where he left and deemphasized the shared universe aspect. It didn't help each installment fluctuated in quality, ruining DC Films' brand in the process.
