R.I.P. Whitey Herzog. Loved the 80s Cardinals Don Denkinger
Herzog was an excellent manager with the 70s Royals and the 80s Cardinals. RIP. Should of have a 2nd WS in 1985.

Denkinger blamed crowd noise. Would have been 1 out nobody on with a 1-0 lead. Cards didn't even show up in Game 7. Lost 11-0 with Herzog and Andujar ejected. |

I remember listening to game 7 in the car, taking my brother and his girlfriend then to the airport. Pathetic performance by the Cards. Saberhagen cruised through the line up. |

Career (2017): 0-0, 17 1/3 IP, 1 ER, 0.52 ERA, only a solo HR by Brian McCann kept his record spotless, till now.
