The Japanese-American, known in the ring simply as Akebono was a sumo wrestler, professional wrestler and MMA fighter. He died of heart failure on the 10th at the age of 54 after prolongued ill-health. He famously wrestled The Big Show in a sumo match at Wrestlemania 21. Given his size it's perhaps unsurprising that he didn't live a long life, none the less he was always entertaining to watch. RIP.

Yeah. I read he was in a bad way 2-3 years ago. That lifestyle caught him eventually. People try to convince me that Sumo wrestlers are in fact healthy, but the mortality rate numbers don't lie. Very few of them make it past 70.
