Former Post Office managing director Alan Cook said he didn't realise the Post Office itself brought prosecutions against sub-postmasters Cook told the inquiry into the Horizon IT scandal: "I knew there were court cases, I didn't realise the Post Office, in about two-thirds of cases, had initiated the prosecution" He said there would have been a "higher bar" if an outside body - for example the Crown Prosecution Service - brought the cases Cook was managing director from 2006 to 2010 - hundreds of people were prosecuted while he was in charge Between 1999 and 2015, more than 900 sub-postmasters were prosecuted due to the faulty Horizon system The former CEO of Royal Mail, Adam Crozier, is now giving evidence - watch live by pressing play at the top of the page What a fucking clown! Give him a knighthood. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-68795663

Thx for shifting the focus towards these hearings!
Sadly I cannot look up anymore when I posted about the Post Office scandal the 1st time, it's long time ago.
:(
But anyone who had access to Private Eye and/or Computerweekly could puzzle the story together from the headlines alone!
(I did so)
