It's starting with a Sandoval Hearing. Here's what a Sandoval hearing is The name "Sandoval" is expected to be heard often during today's proceedings in the Donald Trump hush money trial. CNN legal analyst Karen Friedman Agnifilo explains that it is "a little mini hearing that happens before every trial." During a Sandoval hearing, a judge is asked whether previous bad acts can be brought up and the judge is expected to weigh the probative value versus prejudicial effect of doing so, according to Agnifilo. CNN's Paula Reid previously reported that Trump's lawyers expect to have a Sandoval hearing today before jury selection gets underway. www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-hush-money-trial-04-15-24/index.html

Just a reminder for everyone that Trump is being falsely charged in a kangaroo court for a perfectly legal NDA so that the dems can corruptly and criminally interfere with the 2024 election.
Not one liberal can cite the statute that says the NDA payments were in any way illegal.
This is sham trial that will be overturned on appeal, but liberals are trying to steal the election by cementing in people's minds that Trump is a criminal, when in fact no crime was committed.

From your own link: "Falsifying business records is a misdemeanor, but prosecutors are working to prove that Trump falsified records with an intent to commit or conceal a second crime, which would be a felony." What is the second crime? Where can I read the statute?

Not one liberal can cite the statute that says the NDA payments were in any way illegal. §175.10
What are the charges against Trump?
Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records under Article 175 of the New York Penal Law.
Falsifying business records is a felony in New York when there is an “intent to defraud” that includes an intent to “commit another crime or to aid or conceal” a crime. In this case, prosecutors will have to prove that Trump is guilty of maintaining false business records with the intent to hide a $130,000 payment in the days before the 2016 election to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged 2006 affair.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said at a news conference after the court hearing that the alleged scheme was intended to cover up violations of New York election law, which makes it a crime to conspire to illegally promote a candidate. Bragg also said the $130,000 payment exceeded the federal campaign contribution cap.
Under New York law, most nonviolent felonies must be charged within five years of the alleged misconduct. But legal experts say the statute-of-limitations clock could be paused under certain circumstances, including during the period in which a defendant moves out of the state.
Alleged sexual encounter: It's alleged that Donald Trump had a sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) in 2006. Trump has denied these allegations.
Hush money payment: It's reported that Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, arranged a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 presidential election. The purpose of this payment, according to Cohen, was to buy her silence about the alleged affair with Trump. The timing of the payment, just before the election, raised questions about whether it constituted an illegal campaign contribution or expenditure under campaign finance laws.
Attempts to conceal the payments: There have been allegations and legal proceedings suggesting that Trump or his associates attempted to conceal the nature and purpose of the payments to Stormy Daniels. This could include falsifying records or providing false information to federal officials, which would be illegal under various statutes, including campaign finance laws and laws related to the falsification of business records.

§175.10 Read those links.
There's the URL in my address bar, provided in previous post. There's the beginning of the indictment, provided in previous post. See the bottom left how it has 175.10 ? that's the search bar for that document. You see how to the right of that it says 1 of 35 matches? That means 175.10 appears 35 times in that document. He's charged with 34 counts of the same time, and the 35th time that number appears is at a short summary on the last page.

Right, falsification to commit, conceal or aid another crime. What. Is. The. Other. Crime? Cohen paying Stormy to keep quiet i.e. influence the election. Already an established legal fact from Cohen's case. Trump illegally reimbursed Cohen.
