I can now use my fridge as a panic room. Sure - if I was in a fridge, I would panic.

I can now use my fridge as a panic room. Sure - if I was in a fridge, I would panic. I’ve been locked inside a freezer before. I worked in a supermarket during the 1970s and for a joke the meat manager told me to tidy up the stock then slammed and locked the door behind me. I knew they’d let me out before I froze to death so got on with the task.

Yikes! I was once working in a power station as a fitter's mate and a valuable tool fell down a curved shaft no wider than a very thin adult. The tool was resting about 12 feet away from the entrance, which was vertical and then curved in a circular arc till it was horizontal. They tried to snag the tool with ropes and rods and all sorts but couldn't get it. Eventually they decided the only way to get it was to lower someone in there. Only problem - the apes working there were far too wide to get into the hole. So they looked at me - skinny fucking 20-year old, no wider than a cucumber, and asked if I would be lowered down in there while they held my ankles and they're pull me out once I got it. Now these were people I really did not trust. They were manual labourers who had taken the piss out of me for weeks and shown no signs of caring for anything at all. I wondered if they would just leave me stuck in the duct for an hour for a laugh. But, I did it. They lowered me in vertically, holding my ankles, and I could feel the sides of the duct up against me on all sides. It was horrible - I'm mildly claustrophobic so this was hell for me. Anyway, once deep into the duct with my arms forward, I felt the tool, grabbed it and they did pull me out straightaway but damn, I hated that!

Will it withstand a nuclear blast? Don’t try it at home! You mean I can’t keep my Pu239 in my freezer? I’ve flipped the necessary placards on it.

Fun fact that if you put dynamite in the freezer it will explode if it thaws out.
The same holds true of an M80 firecracker which is the same as 1/8th of a stick of dynamite.
Don't try any of that at home folks, it's super dangerous.
