Extra time in Marseille and Istanbul. I like the home team in France. Other game's a coin flip.

I am liking the fact that Sporting Lisbon are on way to win the league this year and will prevail over Benfica and Porto. Hopefully next year too. Yeah, I prefer Sporting CP of the big 3. I follow Primeira Liga on their YouTube channel. It's always a fun league, especially when Braga are playing well. Early in the year, when Boavista defeated Benfica either 4-3 or 5-4 was awesome.

Action aplenty in Istanbul but no goals. A brilliant save by the home team with a good deal of luck involved after the keeper parried it into the side bar. Still 3-3 after the first 15 minutes.
Second half of extra time underway in Marseille. A little less eventful than the other game. Still 2-2

Penalties for all! Red card late in Turkiye but only impacted about 30s of play.

Marseille through 4-2 on penalties. Di Maria missed the first for Benfica and they never really threatened from there.

3 saves by Selakos in the other shoot out as Olympiakos goes through 3-2 on penalties. Extraordinary performance from the young keeper.

Leverkusen put West Ham down with a late equaliser. Frimpong's shot deflected past the keeper. Game over. 3-1 ahead, their unbeaten record intact, mission accomplished in London for the German champions. Credit to them for attacking in the second half after West Ham had dominated the first stanza. Time mercifully blown in Rome. Roma through 3-1 on aggregate to play Leverkusen. Neverlusen! Still unbeaten in all competitions this season. The home fans responding to Jeremie Frimpong’s late equaliser extending Leverkusen’s unbeaten run to 44 matches with rueful applause spoke volumes. West Ham gave everything in their pursuit of a comeback and had the chances to turn the tie around after taking an early lead through Michail Antonio. 44 is a new record for any club in the top five leagues in Europe.
