That’s the thing. The average Brit wouldn’t have a clue how to reign in a wayward bronco. They’re all greenhorns. Do you get much of that sort of thing in your neck of the woods?

That doesn't add up, though: Racing? Walking? Which is it? Something not right here. The running horse is white. Meanwhile… Noise from builders caused horses to boltThe BBC understands that the noise of builders moving concrete in Belgravia caused horses from the Household Cavalry to bolt and unseat their riders while exercising this morning. The soldiers are now being assessed and the horses are being looked after by a vet. White builders attacking a black horse ?
Clearly a racial element that the BBC will soon pick up

At least four people are injured as a number of runaway horses - one seemingly covered in blood - race through central London. The horses are reportedly from the Household Cavalry, which works at Buckingham Palace. The ambulance service says it was called at 08:25 BST to reports of a person thrown from a horse near the Palace. A BBC reporter at the scene says a horse later hit a tour bus near Victoria station. The Metropolitan Police says: "We are aware of a number of horses on the loose in central London, we are working with colleagues in the Army to locate them" The City of London Police says two have been caught near Limehouse in east London - it's not known how many others are still on the loose. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-england-london-68888725I blame Khan.
Part of the training of a policeman used to involve restraining a runaway horse, but I dare say that has been replaced by compulsory attendance at ULEZ seminars.
We need more mounted police. I have just past the police station where the kids were feeding the horses apples and sandwiches that the horses rapidly converted into manure with the result of a good time being had by all. Much better PR than having Plod harassing muggers
