I don't know what I find more appalling, that private companies were collecting blood from prisoners to export at a profit, or that the authorities turned a blind eye to the risk. Well, probably the latter, but still, the very idea of using prisoners as a source of blood seems like something out of a dystopian work of fiction.

I feel ashamed bc of Bayer having its fingers in that scandal. At least they gave a risk warning.
