Reminds Catman of a story from the university where he worked.
Folks in the Animal Science Department decided to study the campus rabbit population, so they trapped several with live traps. After a few days, the rabbits started acting strangely, and one guy said they looked like they were going through drug withdrawal. They retested the blood samples taken when the rabbits were first brought in and found high levels of nicotine in their blood.
They realized the rabbits had been eating the cigarette butts discarded by smokers around campus and had become addicted to nicotine.
