Jesus did not call us to take over anything...simply live like Him and pray for those in power...church and state should be separate...power corrupts Christians just as much as non- Christians...nothing wrong with serving in the government, if you have Christian beliefs and feel called to do so...but we're not to force anything on anyone...

In other words, there is not one word God did not mean to be there. Christianity is more about what Paul taught any other person in the Bible or outside of it. He speaks for God as much as Jesus does.

So, it's good manners to avoid carelessly saying "Jesus said" when it's really "The Bible says" or "Paul said".

Jesus said render unto Caesar what is his and to God what is his. He also said good Jews awaiting the Kingdom Come, later interpolated as Christians, should become spiritual slaves to God. The Roman Empire by adopting Christianity made God and State one and the same. The Christian Nationalist movement is following the same model.

But if someone asked you "Did Jesus say to pray for those in power?", I'm sure you'd know enough not to answer yes in the way that you would say yes if the question was "Did Jesus say 'No one comes to the Father except through me'."

I’m not speaking theologically, but in practice and how these text have been used by the Church when it is aligned with the state. Certainly he speaks against the Jews in authority, though in religious, not state matters, but he never says much about Roman power. He even befriends Romans and their agents. Keep in mind both Jesus and Paul thought the end of the world preached by Jewish outliers like John the Baptist, Essenes was happening and Messiah as the new King of Israel and also the World was imminent. All nations will bow down. So any state power was immaterial to them.

So I guess importing millions of Somali Christians would be acceptable in a Christian Nationalist country since nothing matters but being converted to Christianity.

You can say I'm speaking "according to the Bible". So, accordingly, it would incorrect to say that Jesus said to pray for those in authority, as it would be incorrect to say that Jesus gave us the Ten Commandments.

Okay, you got there however: But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
