Quite a bit, even if Alaska was the most worthless state that produced no commerce/natural resources/GDP for the US, who do these fuckers think they are that they can just take whatever they want from us?

What I mean is, after you've bought something at an agreed upon price you can't just sit idly by while the seller nicks it back without so much as even an offer of a refund.

If we have the logistics to maintain two global campaign simultaneously, we can defend our domestic cash-crop of massive oil reserves. Its actually surpassingly defensible since we have installations and patrols in the region and are reinforced by Canadian forces and there's very few ports capable of landing an invasion force (that Russia lacks the logistics to even make it to). Your scenario could happen... if things took a big turn for the worse over the course of maybe 50 to 60 years. |

Aside from we keep our national defense monitoring systems there, I wonder if Hnef cares that after Alaska comes Canada, Greenland, Iceland, and Scandinavia. That’s the Arctic Empire of Oil and Minerals so hoped for by big business once the ice caps melt. |
