How much is a pint of, say, Guinness? £3.15 a pint for Guinness.

Yeah, I always enjoyed pubs on my own too if there was no one to go with, even if it's a new pub to me, never bothered me. I meant total punters, and 100 is a lot. The last Wetherspoons I was in was the Montagu Pyke in Cambridge Circus where Guinness cost 6.66. It's one of the few Wetherspoons that have big screens for live sports.
Huh? Is that £2-odd for a PINT???

Few real ales too.
Sharp's Doom Bar is £2.10
Bellhaven 80/- is £1.79.

Leffe Blonde is a fine premium drink, I've been told. But still at well under five pounds for a 6.6% drink is excellent value, you have to say.

Although I hadn't been going as often this past year.

How much is John Smiths, if they stock it. Smoothest pint I've ever had. Almost too smooth - once you take the first gulp it's hard to put the glass down and before you know it you're ordering again.

And Worthington's is just as good as Smiths. I can't believe it's 1.86. And Guinness at 3.15 is just mad.

My favourite smooth pint is Landlord by Timothy Taylor. Don't see it much up here. No John Smith's either, alas.

Can't beat the price though. They used to stock Deuchar's IPA here and it was under £2. That was definitely my fave. Cracking pint. Don't have it anymore.

Years ago I liked John Bull, a sort of non-creamy butter, a bit like Youngs or Courage Best. I drink according to the climate mostly. In the height of summer it'll be a lager top while other seasons have their own drinks. It sounds alright there, as long as it's not ear-splittingly loud. I can take foul language as long as it's not issued at the tops of people's voices.
