To me it is a difference between cat owners & dog owners. Dog owners are looking for something obedient. Do what it is ordered to. Cat owners see their cats as having various personalities like roommates. Call a dog? It comes running. Looking to please. Call a cat? Like most people, it decides if it feels like answering. They often look at one so you know they heard you. I swear they speak telepathically. Thor will just sit there staring at me. Heavy sigh. Why doesn't she understand? Not true. Our shelters are apparently currently overfilled with Huskies because idiots who don't know what it takes to own a dog adopt one because it looks like a Game.of Thrones wolf & then find out how active they are so off the the pound. Something like 32 of them right now. My biggest bitch about animal owners is people who get one, find out there is actually some work to it so it goes to the shelter. Mom's line was "I got a puppy, but it became a dog!"

Noem named her ill-fated dog Cricket and spoke of it in terms of personhood. That she needed to not only personally kill that “dog-person,” which she sees as a piece of property, out of revenge, but had to confess it along with her self-righteousness about it… then continues to double down on her arrogance…indicates how she would treat a human-person in a similar power dynamic. The above clip still has her framing it as a tough decision as in she can make hard choices. She isn't a soft mommy type. The bit on Kim is more enlightening. It is being removed from the book, but she won't say it didn't happen. Still selling the tough gal line. Tough people like her don’t take disobedience and disappointment off other human persons either. Cricket had the “time of her [brief] life at Noem’s expense and embarrassment. How dare the dumb beast! Noem handled Cricket the way she will handle unruly, unwanted citizens if she gets the power to so. The whole nation is going to get the gravel pit threat, she is warning us now. And some folks are more than okay with using pits to dispatch the unwanted into.

If I'm not mistaken Casey, what the gorgeous, but dark hearted governor said was "I love drugs". We already know she is puppy slaughtering, goat killing sociopath - and cruel to the core, so she was trying to change the subject.

Fewer than Deleware. Puerto Rico has around 3 million residents.

As in people "I bought X, but got Y" I bought a puppy but it turned into a dog. I didn't buy a dog. I have seen similar with parents. Everyone wants a baby, but they don't understand that baby grows up into a toddler & eventually a teen. I told my husband when we discussed having a child it is a house payment-20 yrs. Not just some little reflection of him

They think satisfaction in the present means satisfaction in the future and are confused to the point fear and anger when their immediate expectations don’t pan out. That’s when they reach for gun.
