Iran was the cool kid in the middle east until it got taken over by religious extremists. It could easily happen here. Different culture, different mentality, different era. No, it can't happen in the US. I mean, theoretically it can, of course, but it would be a consequence of so much chaos and horror, you'd probably greet it with gratitude. Otherwise, there is no way a Christian theocracy can rise in a Western country. |
