Religious people were as split on the issue as the rest of the population as a whole up until the mid 70s. It wasn't like today where you could easily figure out someone's abortion position just by their religion You cannot any more easily figure a person’s position on it today. I wish you would travel. You have terrifyingly ignorant views. There's no 100% foolproof prediction but in general the stronger their Christian beliefs the more anti abortion they are. It's not exactly new information. www.pewresearch.org/religious-landscape-study/database/views-about-abortion/

Take a road trip. Keep pushing back against being an embarrassingly ignorant leftist cliche. You’ll get there.

Different culture, different mentality, different era. No, it can't happen in the US. I mean, theoretically it can, of course, but it would be a consequence of so much chaos and horror, you'd probably greet it with gratitude. Otherwise, there is no way a Christian theocracy can rise in a Western country.
i don't know man.
i never would have thought row v wade would be shot down like that and now states are trying to pass no abortions allowed at all laws AND then trying to change their constitutions so their constituents can't.
retards.
Abortion is a complex matter and not solely rooted in religious prohibitions. Although, of course, it is a factor.

Another example of crazy religious right dipshits not being able to leave people alone.
hear hear.
Some states are trying to ban all abortions, even rape and incest.
WTH.
It'll result in them getting nothing they want. They're the biggest fools in US politics today.

We can go back to the print version. Porn bookstores will provide a lot of jobs too.

You make a point, but let us be serious. What does the extremist Christian do? Get on his knees and pray and make a lot of pretentious noise and then whatever happens, he says he won, even if he didn't get his way. He adapts God to the circumstances. I've seen it happen 100 times out of 100. Isn't that how many of them adapted to Trump? They throw fits at library and school board meetings to get rid of books and parts of the curriculum they don't like. They write extreme versions of abortion laws that allow no exceptions for the mother's health, or even if they have them it's too vague for the doctors to give treatment without risking jail time. Gay marriage is definitely on their chopping block. Believe them when they say they'll ban porn. A few of them are openly targeting birth control next. It doesn't take a majority to get their agenda into law either if you've got sympathetic judges in the right places. They may not be flying planes into buildings but the IRA called themselves Catholics and had no problem using bombs to get their point across, even if it wasn't an entirely religious dispute. Now, you're smart enough to not really believe that terrorists with bombs are Christians just because they claim some adherence to a church and pretend to be respectful of a priest or a preacher? If a lion says that he is a giraffe, does that make him a giraffe? If a giraffe says that he is a lion, does that make him a lion? Just "identifying" as something, when you aren't that something, is okay if no one is hurt, but I draw the line when it's an excuse to hurt someone. Apparently, you don't draw that line.

You start drifting into the no true Scotsman territory when you exclude them. If I was drawing the line I wouldn't even consider any elected official or anyone with a net worth over $5 million or so to be a real Christian but they're still using the label for themselves. I doubt the original Christians would approve of the modern church. I'd also guess that the Muslims in their caliphate glory days would be telling the Talibans and the Hamasholes of the world to chill the fuck out and take it down a few notches too.

There is absolutely no drifting into "true Scotsman", because it is a definitive term for a Christian to be someone seeking to live the way Jesus taught them to live, and unfortunately there is no way to fit "terrorism" or "bombing human beings" into that. It just can't be done. You can pray all you want that it can be done, but that won't make it so.

The Waco nutjobs and the polygamist child molesting Mormon cult leaders who live in desert communes are still Christians who came up with their own weird bullshit interpretations that conveniently benefit themselves. So are the televangelists scamming trailer park dwellers out of their social security checks. So were the slave owners and segregationists trying to back up their racism with religion. So were the abolitionist and civil rights leaders using that same religion to push for equal rights or the grandmas that rely on the church for their social interactions. You can't just disown the ones that make the group look bad. And right now the ones with the loudest voices are doing their religion no favors.

And the best part -- or the worst part, rather -- is that many of them freely and with impunity do the very things they condemn and preach and speak out against.

Oh noes!
What will all the coomers do?
There's millions of incel men where porn is their only romantic outlet.
While cons assert that pornography might have some bad side effects because of a really old book that talks bad about it (I forget the name of it), libs have made pornography and other high art accessible to even the primary school kids in their school libraries.
Clearly Republicans are making this as a move by those with families to punish those without families. The Republicans have no heart.
I can always rely on you having a bizarre take.

that's what i said about roe v wade being overturned! BINGO. I recall maga on here saying that maga really wouldn't overturn Roe and that maga really didn't WANT to overturn roe, they just needed the spectre of it to rile up their voters. Well, here we are, assholes. And now maga pretends they always thought it was the right thing to do.
