He has just posted on X that he looks forward to working constructively with Swinney and "focusing on the real issues that matter to families – delivering jobs, growth and better public services for people across Scotland."
Ok, pretty standard stuff, but so far all Swinney himself has said is that his priority is to end child poverty, which suggests that he does not have any policies beyond guaranteeing every Scottish kiddie half a crown a week pocket money. And no one else has come up with much of anything else. so why not give Rikki-Tikki-Tavi a chance ?
After all, come the election the poor little sod will want a new job
