The Last TrainThis had a fun premise. A group of people are cryogenically frozen when a canister of gas is released on a train. They unfreeze 52 years later to find the world is in ruins after an apocalyptic asteroid strike. One of the group, Harriet Ambrose, knew of the incoming asteroid strike and had been on her way to a top-secret government project known as Ark when it happened. The group agrees to follow her as she seeks them out.

Remember the Twilight Zone episode of,...I think it was 4 bank robbers who stole a bunch of gold and then froze their bodies in a cave to be woken up in 100 years. They wake up, and one of the guys dies because his "coffin" type tube is broken from a rock landing on it. They're in a hot desert, and dying, lugging around heavy satchels of gold bricks. They offer an elderly couple gold to get them to food and water and the couple just laughed, because in that day and age, everything was made of gold and it was no longer a precious metal. Not related to the Ark, but you know, kinda, sorta....

From what I remember, it was fairly boring.

Maybe the BBC thing was boring but the Twilight Zone episode was not. A slight concept can support a half hour show.

Target: The Corruptors had some very good episodes, maybe 80% of them about corruption in government. The essential premise was that government involves such colossal sums of money, and voters are so easy to con, that inevitably it would attract crooks.
