Oh no! Not a fan of Djokovic by any means but I don't wish a knee injury on anybody, especially not a professional athlete. I wonder if he will try to come back from it or if he will just call it a day, considering all that he has achieved already.
I was only kidding about the voodoo doll!

I was only kidding about the voodoo doll! I figured as much!

Retirement is not in his plans - he had surgery on his knee but he hopes to recover in time for the Olympics!

Semifinals lineup:
Ruud Zverev
Alcaraz Sinner
Swiatek Gauff
Paolini Andreeva
Young American Coco Gauff will have the unenviable task of fighting the number 1 player in the world for a spot in the final. Swiatek beat Gauff in straight sets in the final two years ago.
If I were a betting man I would put money on the favourites confirming their favouritism: Alcaraz and Swiatek.

Swiatek and Paolini make quick work of their young opponents and will meet in the final. Poland wins either way, as the 28-year old Italian in her first major final is 25% Polish.
Swiatek will be gunning for her fourth Roland Garros title and fifth major.

It will be Alcaraz vs Zverev in the men's final. Alcaraz needed five sets to beat Sinner. Zverev lost the first set to Ruud but then won the next three. Zverev is still looking for his first major, while Alcaraz will complete three quarters of a career Grand Slam if he wins on Sunday.

Zverev just settled his domestic abuse case out of court.

Zverev just settled his domestic abuse case out of court. I just looked it up. I don't think I knew about the accusations. That's pretty bad.

Swiatek beats Paolini with relative ease and has now won the French Open four times in five years. I watched parts of the match. It was close in the first half of the first set but after that it was pretty much one-sided.
