Good idea. I mainly watch game shows from the 50s and car projects from the 50s, but these days there are a lot of full length movies of good sound and visual quality. Dr Ehrlich's Magic Bullet was the last I saw, a picture I've wanted to see for a long time. Then there's music and political rants...everything you could want.

My weak spot is What's My Line from the 50's, I've Got A Secret is another one. I also watch a lot of movies from roughly that time era. My music tastes can be all over the board, though.

I LOVE What's My Line! Although I'm sad I'll never get to meet Arlene Francis.
Did you see the episode with Harlan Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken? What's interesting is that he wasn't on as a celeb, he was on as Joe Six Pack desperate to make $50. It was before he got rich.
I'll give I've Got a Secret a go, thank you.

Aren't YouTube videos normally posted as part of a topic such as politics, sport etc, so naturally find a home there?
What would be on a YouTube board that wouldn't fit anywhere else?

Yes, but they're often not current things or broader in scope or they're just random. Let's face it, the politics board should really be called 'current events.'

I think I'll shuffle the comedy board down a bit as well, that didn't prove as popular as I thought it might due to most people on here being humourless.

I watch them all on Cinemascope, (Kinescope?) and even when they went colour, I saw them in B&W. Arlene was the epitome of class and there wasn't anyone she couldn't get along with. I have her book, but I still need to finish reading it (about charm). I've seen a few of the colourized versions that were recorded in,...what was it, the 70's or something? I didn't like the part where the panelists had to move cards around to put them in 4 contestant's hands to guess their job. It was a waste, just like remember in the very beginning when the contestants did that walking down in front of the panel, Dorothy always wanting to see coat labels, Arlene feeling muscles on guys. I did see the one with Colonel Sanders. Lots of pilots, people who deal with worms, cow washers, salt sellers, maternity wear retail (remember the huuuuge guy from Texas?), the woman who managed men's boxing, and the most beautiful woman I've ever seen who was a goat herder. She was stunning. I never understood the fawning and over-flattering comments in the intros of Bennett Cerf. And John Daly mentioning Tilton School in NH in as many episodes as he could!

I tried I've Got a Secret, not bad. One of the comments was good:
A free pack of Winston for every kid, as recommended by 9/10 doctors.

There was a woman who made cigars who handed them out to the panelists. And did you see the Stoppette commercials (deodorant) with "anti-immunity factors"...? Huh? lol

I don't remember seeing any of the regular panelists smoking, but John Charles Daly occasionally had a furtive puff. Mystery guests smoked merrily though.
